The SMVG Annual Swap Meet.

March 24th 2024

(Table space now fully booked!)

The SMVG annual Swap Meet takes place on Sunday the 24th of March 2024. Taking table bookings now, usually table space sells fast so if you wish to sell do get in touch as soon as possible as tables are allocated on a first come first served basis. Tables are charged at £15 per 6ft table and public entry to the hall is £2 per adult. Accompanied under 16's are free.

Once again we are scheduled be filled to capacity with sellers offering you all kinds of militaria, military vehicle parts, uniforms, books and collectables.

Up on stage will be yet another military themed diorama created by our expert props builder Dave Neill. Outside the hall there will be a display of military vehicles...that's providing the weather is favourable and providing some of you bring yours along. So, if you are intending coming along in your green machine let me know in advance so I can keep a parking space aside for you.

The NAAFI will be up and running from 10am selling hot breakfast rolls, tea and coffee. Lunch time will see the usual scramble for Sandy's pies and sausage rolls, now you’ll have to be in there quick as they always sell out in a jiffy!  There will be plenty of home bakes, cakes and fancies on offer to go with the afternoon cuppa. It is likely to be busy in there at times so, please be patient and respectful towards our hard working NAAFI lasses.

The Club Shop will be in attendance and will be set up in the NAAFI tea room. Alistair Smith will be there to show you the latest in club merchandise and will be a good opportunity to get kitted out for the coming season.

It’s a busy day for Committee members, so if you would like to volunteer to help out in any way then give me a shout.

All in all, it’s a good day out and you're sure to find something interesting there to buy. What's more it’s a great opportunity to meet up with everyone for a social gathering and to perhaps find out what everyone's plans are for 2024.

Where is it held?

It’s held in the Institute Hall, Bridge of Earn, PH2 9RQ. Which is just 2 minutes off junction 9, M90. Look for the SMVG direction signs as you drive through the town.

Visitor Info

On arrival at the hall, park in the football field car park directly opposite or in the nearby streets. Please do not park in front of the hall, the space there is needed for loading, unloading and the display of military vehicles and outdoor stalls weather permitting. Admission is strictly from 10am, finishing at around 4pm. Entry is £2 and accompanied under 16’s are free.

Stallholder / Exhibitor / Staff Info.

The drill is as follows. Stallholders should reverse park into the loading area outside the hall frontage. Unload as swiftly as possible before moving your vehicle across the road to the car park to let the next stallholder in. If you need a hand to speed things up, then give me a shout. Doors open at 8am for stallholders and staff and for setting up only. Ideally you should have your stall ready in good time for the public arriving at 10am. Hall must be vacated and cleaned up by 5pm.

Follow these basic rules as everyone does year in and year out and it all goes very smoothly. Simples!
